The pre-test built by people who prepare Cambridge candidates for a living

I thought I was ready for B2 First. The pre-test showed my Writing was a full grade below — the examiner feedback saved me from a real failure on exam day.

KN
Karolína N.
B2 First · Prague, Czech Republic

The Speaking session felt exactly like the real CAE. Getting detailed feedback after — that doesn’t happen on the actual exam. Took a second pre-test, went up 8 points.

LR

C1 Advanced · Vienna, Austria

We use it with every FCE and CAE class four weeks before the real exam. Students arrive on exam day calmer, and our pass rates reflect it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Click any question to expand.

Is this an official Cambridge English exam?

No. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge Assessment English. We are an independent pre-test service designed to help candidates prepare for the real Cambridge English qualifications — A2 Key (KET), B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), and C2 Proficiency (CPE).

How accurate is the anticipated exam score?

Our anticipated exam scores use the Cambridge English Scale (122–190) and are produced by Cambridge-certified examiners following the official criteria. In our historical data, XX% of candidates score within 5 points of their anticipated score on the real exam.

Who marks the Writing and Speaking?

Cambridge English-certified examiners who are currently active on the real Cambridge exams. They use the same scoring bands and band descriptors as on exam day.

How does the live Speaking session work?

Your Speaking session is a 15-minute video call with a Cambridge-certified examiner, following the exact Speaking exam format — Part 1 (interview), Part 2 (long turn), Part 3 (collaborative task), and Part 4 (discussion). You'll receive band-level feedback in your final report.

Can I take pre-tests for different Cambridge exams separately?

Yes. Each pre-test is specific to a single Cambridge qualification. If you're deciding between two levels, we recommend starting with the higher one to find your ceiling.

What's in the detailed report?

Your multi-page report includes an overall Cambridge Scale score, a breakdown per section (Reading, Use of English, Writing, Listening, Speaking) with estimated grades, a focus summary for exam day, and detailed examiner feedback.

What if I score lower than expected?

You'll receive a clear report showing exactly where the gaps are. Many candidates take a second pre-test 2–3 weeks later to measure improvement.

Know your Cambridge exam score. Before it counts.

Your first pre-test is free — for B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), A2 Key (KET) and B1 Preliminary (PET).
